Self Care/Cozy "Video Games" for PC/Mac
  • Kind Words (lo fi chill beats to write to) (this is a personal fav of mine, and also has a second game Kind Words 2 that I like even more, the first one is a bit cheaper however!
  • Spirit City: Lofi Sessions This is a productivity game (productivity also looks like rest!) where you decorate your lil space, character and collect spirits while listening to cozy music. I find it a good escape in stressful times. It also has some neat dlc
  • Moving towards the cozier/zone-out side:

  • Gourdlets a cute lil sandbox game where you make a town for lil veggy folks
  • MakeRoom a building simulator where you can build the coziest rooms ever, with a cute story mode akin to Animal Crossing HHD!
  • Tiny Glade a sweet little diorama builder to make cute castles. you can truly spend hours in this one, and you can pet the animals that just wander around!
  • Tohou Mystia's Izakaya a tohou themed restraunt simulator! cozy, cute and simple
  • Unpacking a zen puzzle game about unpacking boxes and fitting them in a new home. follows a very sweet story and i personally love this one a lot.
  • Webfishing a cute little fishing game! it encourages the use of their multiplayer chatroom functionality, but you can absolutely play solo, and it's very cozy to do so.
Advice from others in the Safe Space
  • Regarding panic attacks: "my therapist showed me you can get a bowl of ice water and dunk your face in to help stop one. or just splash it on your face if you have anxiety. its gotta be cold as heck! The shock of the cold can stop your brain from making the chemical that triggers panic attacks. However, don't do this all the time and only very rarely do full body showers like this, as you might get sick! And then if anything else grab a pair of headphones. Remember deep breaths in and out. Remember its going to be okay and all storms come and go. And listen to this like in a place you know you won't be bothered (like the bathroom, your room etc) for like 30 mins to an hour or just however long you need. Also, this is macaroni union. This song is scientifically proven to lower your heart rate! Youtube Link
  • For Panic/Anxiety attacks: "There are many ways but one of the best is to pretend you are breathing through a straw. It will steady your breathing and lower your heart rate/blood flow therefore calming you down."

please note this list is a wip and if you have anything you would like to add, or anything you think should be removed, please feel free to contact me at cyberspace [at] kerofutii [dot] net!
